Organic Waste Recycling

In unincorporated Western Placer County, we remain committed to making recycling and disposal easy for our unincorporated area residents – this goes for organic wastes too! Many organic wastes are already being recovered for recycling and planned WPWMA renovations will increase recyclable recovery – including food waste – so you may continue to place food waste in your trash bin. There are no changes to collection methods for other types of organic waste. Existing residential green waste collection will continue in the more urban areas.
